Where did all my work go?!

Ugh, I spent all day yesterday working on the blog, adding a bunch of new pages and a couple new projects...and it's all gone!!! What the heck happened?!  I know there were some Blogger issues yesterday, but I didn't think that everything would disappear.  :(

Oh well, guess I'm going to have to spend another day trying to set this thing up and organizing again...

Busy Busy Busy...

Sorry I've been MIA these past couple weeks, but man, have I been busy!!!  Last week was the end of the semester and finals, so I had my nose buried in books for about two weeks straight, and I'm happy to report that I did very well!  During that time, my Etsy store got way more traffic than usual and I ended up with quite a few orders!  With the spring semester finally behind me, I was able to spend some quality time with my sewing machine and after a couple days of non-stop sewing, I'm officially caught up with all of my Etsy orders and they were sent out in the mail this morning!  A special thanks to all the wonderful ladies who ordered items last week, making it the most successful week Piccolo has had thus far! :)

Well,  I have a couple of weeks free before the next semester starts, and I'm so looking forward to spending time with my daughter and I have a lot of great new ideas for Piccolo.  Last week I had some inquiries about a newsboy cap.  Coincidentally, I have been working on creating a pattern for one and plan to have it perfected in the next few days, and have it listed in the store soon.  I also have a new romper and a couple dresses in the works.  Stay tuned....I'll have plenty of new items coming soon!

Tea Party Dress

I'm so excited about this dress!  It took a few hours, but it was worth it and I absolutely love it!   The bodice is fully lined and the buttons on the back of the dress are made with the contrasting fabric, matching the sash and band around the bottom.  I can't wait to make it in different sizes and fabrics...so many possibilities...

Bandana Sunsuit

I saw this cute sunsuit tutorial on Made By Rae, and just had to give it a try.  Since I've never shirred fabric before, I didn't want to use anything that was too expensive in case I completely ruined it, so I pulled a couple bandanas out of my stash and went to work!

Surprisingly, shirring was so easy! I absolutely love it and plan to use the technique a lot more in the future.  The sunsuit turned out pretty great and I can't wait to make another one soon.  The only thing I think I'll change next time is adding a fourth snap to the bottom, and probably some cute buttons to the straps.

One Saturday afternoon + no baby = two dresses

I had an entire afternoon to myself, so what do I do of course?!...SEW!  After a quick trip to Joann's for a couple supplies, I was on a roll.  I whipped up this adorable flag dress and this customizable bandana dress for my Etsy store.

Just getting started....

Welcome to Piccolo's blog!  I'm just getting started, so please be patient while I'm getting everything organized.  I'm hoping to use this bog to keep everyone updated on my newest creations, and maybe even share a tutorial or two.  If you haven't already, check out my Etsy store and "like" us on Facebook.
